Course overview and goals
This course provides a comprehensive overview of technology transfer from academy to industry, business incubation, intellectual property, management of technology, accounting, and finance. This course is aiming to show students live instances of social implementation process of academic research achievements transferred to industry sectors.
Course description and aims
By the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain fundamental knowledge on technology transfer from academy to industry, and business incubation,
2) Explain fundamental knowledge on intellectual property, and management of technology, and
3) Explain fundamental knowledge on accounting and finance.

Class flow
Each class starts with the explanation of a new topic. In the class occasionally, students are given themes to write a report, two or three times in total. Students are asked to submit the report sometimes within the class time.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
