Course overview and goals

Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS is an approximately 5-month program that includes preliminary studies (June-July), remote study with students in Southeast Asian countries, a final report and a final presentation session.
During the remote study, Tokyo Tech students virtually visit an overseas partner university, several local and Japanese companies, governmental institution and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) project with students who participate from partner universities in Southeast Asia. At the end of each day, students have group discussions about what they learn during the visits, and give a presentation based on those discussions on the last day.
This is one of the study abroad programs in the Global Scientists and Engineers Course.
The aim is to cultivate international literacy, positivity, coordination and communication skills through domestic studies, virtual site visit and a final presentation session.
