Course overview and goals
This course provides precious opoertunity to study about technology and intelectual property law for the common sense of scientists and engeneers. This course is fit for prospected students of Patent attorney. This course lecturers(Hironao Kaneko, Youichi Tagawa, Masataka Ohta, Kiyoshi Toda, Tomoko Sugano, Kanako Inokuchi, Morihiro Okamoto, Tetsuji Tsujikawa, Nobumichi Tosa, Norihisa Ogawa, Hideo Ogura, Sonoko Tanaka, et al). This course is succession of "Science Technology and Intellectural".
Combining Intellectual Property, Design, Inovative Idea and Start Up Venture, student learn more than law.
Many patent attoenrys are practicing the alumni of Tokyo Institute of Technology. The patent attorney is the profession to patenting intelectural property and protecting the client's intellectual property right. This process is necessary to gain the fund that is necessary to continue rearch work and invention by entrepreners. In 2018, the number of the sucessuful candidates of the national patent attorney exam became 10 that occupies 3.8% of all.
Course description and aims
Understand whole intellectual property law system in Japan and competition law for international businesses.
Understand the intellectual property establising conditions, procedure, infringement suite etc.
