Course overview and goals

Doctoral student prepares a lecture to explain their own research activity to the other students and leads discussion to check their understanding.
This course aims to increase the depth of professional abilities, presentation skills, and communication abilities.

1) Ability to understanding research lecture in non-specialty field
2) Presentation skills
3) Communication skills
4) Ability to lead logical discussion

Doctoral students should explain their own research to other students in their lab or department, and lead discussion with other students to clarify understanding.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京工業大学学修規程) and the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Graduate Learning (東京工業大学大学院学修規程), for each class.
