Course overview and goals

Lectures on Special Topics of Advanced Space Engineering which are annually selected from Japanese space development are delivered in the Japanese language.

Course description and aims

Students will grasp technology trends from basics to applications relating to specific topics, such as new model rockets, state-of-the-art space probes, space communication technology, satellites development technology, and technologies for adaptation to the space environment .

Course schedule Objectives
Class 1 Explanations will be provided about background, purposes, methods, results, and future prospects of significant challenges relating to actual space engineering/development, e.g. new model rockets, state-of-the-art space probes, space communication technology, satellites development technology, and technologies for adaptation to the space environment, from a practical perspective . Students to grasp the significant issues of each required learning topic.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
