Course overview and goals

As finishing stage of the Dojo program, students are required to design, document a project plan, and pursue their own projects that have impacts on others and society. To design the projects, the goal and execution process should be discussed with instructors.
In addition, students will describe their own career plan and get feedback from their peer and instructors to realize how they can exploit their abilities in their future career.

Course description and aims

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
(1) Derive solutions for creating novel value in society.
(2) Improve the solution so as to be more realistic by receiving feedback from the society.
(3) Achieve the project that implements the solution in the society with impact.
(4) Involving others, show leadership in the project.

Class flow

In this course, basically, students develop and conduct a project that aims to implement the ideas and concepts proposed by the students themselves into society. Theme of the project depends on the students' intentions and the social situation at the time.

Course schedule Objectives
Class 1 Students accomplish project planning, implementation, and improvement over seven weeks. The contents are determined through discussion with the instructors. Students will perform the project result presentations at the eighth week. Ability to plan, implement and improve the project that creates novel value and impact to society. Ability to communicate with society.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Students will be assessed on the achievement of the learning outcomes such as planning and implementation of practical project that creates novel value and impact to society and improving it through communication with society and so on, as well as on the rationality of discussion and contribution of collaboration work.
