Syllabus
Course overview and goals
Different language and various communication skills are required for the working environment in Japan depending on the types of industries and types of work. This course is mainly designed for the international students who are aiming or considering a job/internship opportunity in Japan. In the course, engineers/researchers invited from the companies of various industries give the lectures about general introduction and working environment of the industries and companies. After having the lectures, the students will visit the companies to see the actual working conditions.
The objective of this course is to provide various information of Japanese companies and to motivate the student in their self study to acquire the skills needed for working in desired industry of Japan.
Course description and aims
Through the studies in the class and the company visits, the students are expected to set their own targets of language ability at the time of internship and graduation, based on their desired working place conditions. The student will also make her/his own study plan for promoting the language and communication skills with the guidance of instructors.

Class flow
The students have six lectures by the invited lectures from various industries in Japan and visit a company/companies to see actual working conditions. At the end of each lecture the students should answer short quiz about the lecture's company and industries. Having lectures and company visits, the student will make her/his own study plan to promote the required skills for working in Japanese companies.

Due to the capacity of the company visit, there is a limitation in the number of registration. The priority will be given to the students who participate Sustainable Engineering Course.
