Course overview and goals

This course is off-campus internship in the industry. Students learn the way of thinking, sense of value and the working process in the industry through the actual R&D work with the researchers and engineers of the company The basic policy is 1-3 months of full time work,however the working conditions such as period, days per week and working hours are flexible. Students can be supported by the coordinator of the IIDP for finding the company, negotiation about the working conditions and contract. Some expenses such as accommodation and commuting fee will be supported however there is some limitation due to the budget limitation.

Course description and aims

・Students understand the reality of R&D activity and the way of thinking in the industry and also realize the difference in R&D between in the university and in the company.
・Students can take the chance to review own research doing at the university from the view points of meaning and the role in the society.

Prerequisites

・Student should be admitted by own professor for the absence from the lab.
・Students should join health insurance and accident compensation insurance.
