授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
「アカデミックプレゼンテーション」のコースはすべて、さまざまな学問的な場でプレゼンテーションをおこなうための技能訓練を目的とする。実践的な練習を通じて、学生はこうした技能を効果的に発表に適用し、自信をもって多様な状況に対応するための知識を修得する。自分の考えを明晰に伝えるための戦略を学べるよう、教員は建設的なフィードバックをおこなう。さらに、学生は聴衆としても、仲間に対して洞察力のある刺激的な質問ができるよう、リスニングの技能を磨く。
400番台の選択科目として、「アカデミックプレゼンテーション第十三」は、大学院生が豊富な知識に基づくプレゼンテーションを一人でおこなうために必要な技能を身につけることを目指す。
到達目標
コース終了時には、学生はアカデミックな場で一人でプレゼンテーションをおこない、質疑応答をこなすことができる。また、言語によるメッセージと非言語のメッセージをともに意識しつつ、聴衆を惹きつける発表をおこない、発表後は聴衆からの質問にも巧みに答えることができる。

授業の進め方
For each class, students are expected to complete the homework in advance and actively participate in class discussions. Students will deliver a presentation after every unit, followed by a Q&A session, receiving feedback back from their colleagues and instructor. (Note: Syllabus is subject to change based on the level, needs, and actual number of students.)
