授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
この授業はTOEFLの概要を知っている学生あるいは受験したことがある学生向けの授業である。授業では英語の四技能のうち、特に聴解力と発話力の向上のための訓練を行う。短期留学に必要な語彙と一般教養科目のコンテンツを理解するための専門語彙（基礎的レベル）を学びスコアアップを目指す。
到達目標
200語～400語程度のスピーチや会話を聞き、その概要を追うことができる。またそれの内容について、要点だけではなく概要を口頭で明晰に説明することができる。

An instructor with work experience as a performer will provide hands-on experience in the performing arts, based on practice in the field that fosters critical thinking and encourages creativity and self-expression.

授業の進め方
Students are required to complete the listening, speaking, and/or vocabulary assignments before class preparing for focused discussions of their content. Each week, we will discuss a new topic, requiring the students to actively participate in class activities, debates, and presentations, while developing the students' test taking skills for the TOEFL iBT. (Note: Syllabus is subject to change based on the levels, needs, and actual number of students.)

準備学修(事前学修・復習)等についての指示
学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
