Course overview and goals
【 Overview 】
In this lecture, basic theory of the Taguchi method is lectured.
【 Aim 】
It is apparent that the reliability is the most important issue for many industrial products, especially for the artificial satellites and the aerospace instruments. Assessment of reliability improvement should be conducted not only on the reliability of individual products, but also on the robustness of the whole system against the dispersion. Taguchi method is appreciated in the world as an engineering technique that takes into account the robustness of the products and reliability of the whole system.
The Taguchi method is an indispensable subject as standard acquisition technology.
Course description and aims
Understand the technology development strategy of the Taguchi method, and plan a technology evaluation plan based on the two-stage design of robustness quantification and parameter design using the SN ratio. In addition, you can understand the purpose of the CS-T (Causarity Search T Method), a technique for devising new system structures and design parameters.
Student learning outcomes
実務経験と講義内容との関連 (又は実践的教育内容)
A lecturer who is engaged in quality control work using Taguchi methods in a company will give practical lectures from basics to applications of Taguchi methods based on experience at actual production factory.
Keywords
Quality engineering, technology development, interaction, orthogonal table, functional evaluation, CS-T method
