授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
この授業はTOEFLをまったく知らないあるいは受験したことがない学生向けのTOEFL入門の授業である。英語の四技能のうち、特に聴解力と発話力の基礎力を磨きながら、TOEFLのテスト形式になれることを目指す。また短期留学に必要な基礎的な語彙を学ぶ。
到達目標
・TOEFLの出題形式や内容に親しむこと。
・クラス内でのペアワークやグループワークを通して聴解力と発話力の向上させること。
・短いスピーチや会話を聴き、要点を理解したうえでその要点を短文で要約し英語を使って表現することができること。

授業の進め方
Students are required to complete the listening, speaking, and/or vocabulary assignments before class preparing for focused discussions of their content. Each week, we will discuss a new topic, requiring students to actively participate in class activities, debates, and presentations, while developing students’ test taking skills for the TOEFL iBT. (Note: Syllabus is subject to change based on the level, needs, and actual number of students.)

準備学修(事前学修・復習)等についての指示
学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
