授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
To learn and understand the fundamental structure of scientific explanation in design and planning science.

To master a methodology of design scince.

Some of the case studies are given from a point of view of a professional architect as well as a design scientist and practitioner.
The instructors might mention how design theories are employed in design practices on the basis of their practical experience.
